Established in 2oo6, we are an experienced team of brand strategists, creative directors, designers and copywriters who love getting to know you, and your business. We’ve enjoyed long client relationships based on respect, trust and creating brilliant work together. Chloe Quigley
Managing Director
As a founder and managing director of Ortolan, Chloe is committed to creating and reinvigorating great brands and working with imaginative and passionate clients to create strategic and beautiful outcomes.
Chloe has worked in advertising and creative studios for over 25 years, more than half of those managing Ortolan. She is an intuitive and strategic thinker and believes that empathy is the most important ingredient in building a strong brand.
Chloe’s priority are her clients. She believes that generosity of spirit and shared knowledge make for the best relationships and the strongest brands. Ortolan’s long term clients can attest to this, making the studio a part of their businesses for many years. She works on each of these clients as though they are her own business, with rigour and passion – whether retail, fashion, architecture or the arts.
Simone Elder
Creative Director
Simone has been dedicated to design and art direction for over 25 years, working on some of Australia’s most iconic brands. As Creative Director and founder of Ortolan, she brings her exceptional eye and strong strategic thinking to set the vision for beautiful, timeless and lasting brands.
Simone worked at leading studios in Melbourne, internationally in Milan and at Vogue Australia before co-founding Ortolan. Always striving for excellence, she aligns storytelling with brilliant design, resulting in a lasting desire. She has an ability to see beyond the aesthetic, to truly empathise with customers’ wants and intuit successful outcomes for brands.
Simone loves working in close collaboration with clients and other creatives. She is a passionate mentor to young designers, and is always working on projects that support her passion for social justice and equality.
